Dr. Giridhar Gyani is currently Director General, AHPI. He has vast hands on experience in Administration, Teaching,Training, R&D,Quality Management,Accreditation & Standardization.

He was previously the Secretary General of Quality Council of India where he was responsible for establishing & operating the national accreditation structure for conformity assessment bodies providing certification of management systems and inspection services. Has worked extensively on improving effectiveness of QMS certification process through actual field validation.

During his illustrious career he has served in various capacities in organisations like Indian Institute of Quality Management, Jaipur, Electronics & Test Development Centre, Guwahati, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bengaluru and DRDO, Pune.
