Shweta Pandey is Director Counsel and head of Legal at Target India, a fully owned subsidiary of Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT). Target is a Minneapolis-based discount retailer with more than $70 billion in annual revenue, which serves guests at more than 1,804 stores in the United States.

Shweta joined Target in 2014 as leader of Target India’s Employee Relations and Compliance practice and was named to her current position in 2016. Shweta serves as a strategic thought partner for Target India management on all legal issues. Her team provides end to end legal support to Target India. She also leads the Government Affairs and Trade Relations functions for Target India.

Prior to joining Target, Shweta spent about 8 years in varied roles at India’s top tier law firm and renowned corporates.

Shweta received her B.A. LLB. (Hons.) degree from Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad. She is married and lives in Bangalore with her husband. When not at work, she enjoys theatre and traveling.
