VANI BHAMBRI ARORA
DEPUTY DIRECTOR, NABCB

Vani Bhambri Arora is working as Deputy Director, National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies, in the Quality Council of India, India’s national accreditation body. She holds a Master’s Degree in Food Technology and has topped the college during her graduation of Food Technology.

She started her career in the food industry and then worked with food consulting organizations and presently working with national accreditation board. Later has also worked with a US based certification body. She has been with NABCB / QCI for the last 9 years.

She has provided consultancy and training to large number of organizations. Further during her tenure in Conformity assessment body, she developed their system for accreditation. In QCI/NABCB, she is handling accreditation for ISO 22000, Personnel Certification and Product certification bodies. She is currently part of the team in developing framework for use of accreditation by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

She was in the team which is helping FSSAI in gap study of public food labs, identification of referral labs and designing of system for approval of third party certification/inspection bodies and labs as well as certification of food safety professionals under FSSAI’s regulatory regime. She was also involved in the QCI team designing voluntary certification schemes in areas like Ayush products, restaurant grading, medicinal plants, Good agriculture practice, etc.

She is also involved in the National Quality Campaign assigned to QCI by the Central Govt. and handling the Food safety and GAP related campaign of QCI.
